Facilities
Cliff Top Cafe
The Cliff Top Cafe is an ideal spot from which to admire spectacular views over Lynmouth bay and surrounding cliffs, and on a clear day the coast of South West Wales. Why not relax with a cream tea or cup of freshly made coffee or perhaps a light lunch?

Having been under separate management for a number of years, this summer we are pleased to announce that the cafe is once again managed by The Cliff Railway. In order to provide our customers with the highest standards, we considered it vital to refresh the menu and upgrade the facilities, which we have now carried out. The response has been fantastic with plenty of good comments. In the near future we hope to unveil plans to redevelop our Lynton facility including the cafe.

Dogs
Dogs are always welcome on the railway, however for health and safety reasons they must be on a lead and are not allowed to travel on the open platform. (we do charge for dogs)

Disabled access
Is limited due to the nature of the railway and its Victorian carriages most wheelchairs will not pass through the carriages unfolded, at thier narrowest point the carriages are only 540mm, not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and in addition there are three steps through each. We can offer a return journey on the open platform for any wheelchairs that will not pass through the carriages. This is only available from the Lynmouth station riding up on the platform to the top and staying on the lift and returning back to Lynmouth where you would disembark.

Special needs groups can be catered for but please telephone prior to your visit.
